History of Gamma Lambda

Gamma Lammba Chapter was organized as a result of the expansion of Mu Chapter in Rocky Mount. Once Mu had exceeded 65 members, it worked with members in Nash County to esdtabvlish a separate chapter--Beta Theta. In the time following, Edgecvombe county members of Mu were presented an opportunity to stay in Mu or become charter members of Gamma Lambda. Twenty-seven women educators then chartered Gamma Lambda in Edgecombe County.
